SOME FLICS FROM TWO PAST SHOWS..

These are from Hot Pop out in Milwaukee, Wis. I think i sold one, but the "curator" hasnt said anything.. in the first picture the top 2 are mine...there a mix of collage and paint on birch wood. about 2ft x 1 ft. the bottom photo is another view but has a bad glare..

Entre Studio & Painting & Drawing

This evening, I popped into the Entrepreneur studio where Peter has been working very diligently (in the 'dungeon' as he calls it). It looks awesome in there! He has jumped right into his projects. He even has a little functional darkroom set up in the 'vault' for burning his screens. I'm posting a couple of pics of work in progress.































I also snuck a peek at Samantha's setup in the Painting & Drawing Studio. She has a nice little nook right next to the window-it looks cozy. Pictures below!

Residency-kickoff lunch goes smoothly

Our opening lunch went incredibly well by my estimation. All the residents, most of the mentors, and many staff members were present to get to know one another. Steve Berkowitz, founder of Marwen, was also there, asking questions and learning more about this new program. We set a great tone for the 2007 residency! I am really looking forward to working with everyone and seeing new work, ideas and connections happening here in Marwen's studios.
